The doping scandal that is not, over says McClaren

According to Richard McClaren the lawyer tasked with uncovering and reporting on the systemic doping programme before the 2016 Olympics believes that what was seen and uncovered may not be over and will raise its ugly head in future. This he believes would not be limited to Russia but could be seen elsewhere in future.

It talks to a state backed programme, where winning is everything and where the “power of the country” is equated to sporting success and not only the international trade relations, unemployment rates, education systems, GDP and economic growth.

A challenge for each of us within the HP sporting space is to ask ourselves the question, “where is our line in the sand?” This is pertinent in everything we do especially when considering our, the team and the organizations ethical compasses.
