Character – Coach what does yours look like?

Our character as a coach is key to performance, and there I don’t refer to just winning. Performance gains, improvements and challenging our athletes across all levels of the development pipeline.

So what does our character look like? What do we look like in the good and the bad? Are we the same yesterday, today or tommorrow?

Our character during the tough times is crucial as it sets the tone for the improvements we seeking. As in this quote below how we are in the tough times, the moments we performance seems a distant dream, an objective often felt impossible to achieve.

So the question to each of us is firstly what is our character like – all the time – and secondly more specifically what does our character look like in the droughts of our individual and team performances, in the droughts of our lives?

Will your team, your friends, the people around us, remember our character in the times of harvest. We are promised that there will be times of harvest, but what destruction has our character left? Or where you investing through your character during the droughts?
